Combined Bands Event

Our talented music students recently participated in the Combined Bands event, hosted at Belmont High and joining over 200 other students from across Geelong to form an extraordinary orchestra. The collaboration, dedication, and musical prowess displayed by our students were truly commendable. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn from their peers and showcase their skills on a grand stage.

Be Bold Be Heard: Year 10 Female Leaders

Our Year 10 female leaders took the initiative to host the "Be Bold Be Heard" event, bringing together 100 female leaders from across Geelong. This inspiring gathering focused on leadership, empowerment, and the importance of having a voice. Our students demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, organising and leading discussions that left a lasting impact on all participants.

Multicultural Day Celebration

On Tuesday, our school grounds were transformed into a vibrant celebration of diversity during our Multicultural Day. Students proudly shared their cultural heritage through food stalls and musical performances representing countries from all over the world. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as our school community came together to celebrate our rich cultural tapestry. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of respect and inclusivity in our school.

Year 9 Morrisby Interviews

We are excited to share that our Year 9 students have this week completed their Morrisby interviews, an important step in supporting their career aspiration decision-making process. These interviews are a pivotal part of our commitment to providing personalized guidance to each student, helping them to identify their strengths, interests, and potential career paths.

The Morrisby Profile is a comprehensive career guidance tool that assesses students' aptitudes, interests, and personality traits. By participating in these interviews, our students gain valuable insights into their potential career options and the subjects they should focus on in the coming years to achieve their goals.

The feedback from the Morrisby interviews has been incredibly positive, with many students expressing newfound clarity and motivation regarding their future pathways. They have begun to map out their educational journeys, selecting subjects that align with their career aspirations and personal interests.

These events not only highlight the diverse talents and interests of our students but also reinforce the values that make Belmont High a special place. I am incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, dedication, and the positive spirit they bring to our school community.

Thank you to all the students, staff, and parents who have contributed to these wonderful events. Your support and involvement are invaluable.
