St John Baptist De La Salle dedicated his life to educating the young people. In 1900 John Baptist de La Salle was declared a Saint. In 1950, he was made Patron Saint of all those who work in the field of education.
St John Baptist de La Salle inspired others how to teach and care for young people. Today there are De La Salle schools in 80 different countries around the world and we are fortunate to have the Brothers here with us every day. Founder’s Day was a tribute to them. We thank them for providing an active and positive presence in our College.
Friday was a remarkable day that began with a Mass in the College hall, celebrated by Fr. Rex and Deacon Adrian. This occasion allowed us to reflect on the invaluable support and guidance provided by the De La Salle Brothers to both students and staff. Additionally, we remembered our sister school, La Salle Girls High School in Gokhuwal, Faisalabad, Pakistan. Over the years, our College has supported this school through fundraising efforts.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the following businesses for their generous support:
Thank you to all the students and staff who entered into the spirit of the day. The highlight of the day was the dunking machine watching Mr Cullerton, Mr Robertson, Mrs O’Connor, Evan Souris, Mrs Ming and Mr Smith being dunked several times in the freezing water.
