Bonjour tout le monde

I hope that you have been out enjoying this lovely sunshine.

At St Laurence O'Toole Primary School, we value open and respectful communication which is essential in the family/school partnership and we welcome feedback from our families so that we can better support your children and our students.

There may be times when your child comes home and recounts an incident that you may find concerning. Sometimes this can be because it is only a snapshot of a big picture, and when put into context, can be less of an issue. At other times it can be because some important points have been left out of the story and we have had cases where imagination has come into play!

Please be assured that we listen to all sides of the story and investigate carefully. We welcome your input, bearing in mind that we will need to have all the facts before we can respond to your concern.  Transparency and understanding are crucial in fostering a supportive environment for students. Encouraging parents to share their concerns while also acknowledging the complexity of situations and the need for thorough investigation shows a commitment to addressing issues effectively. This approach helps build trust and strengthens the partnership between the school and families.

If you need any assistance in further developing this communication strategy or handling specific situations, please do not hesitate to contact me via the school office at office@stlleongatha.catholic.edu.au
