As we enter the middle of Term 2, the Level 3 students have been exploring the central question, "How do human actions impact our environment?" We have delved into the different types of pollution and the impacts they can have on our environment, animals and humans. We have explored renewable and non-renewable sources of energy and the decisions we can make to lessen our impact on the environment. The level 3s had a very exciting excursion to Healesville Sanctuary, where they explored the impact of human actions on Australian animals and their habitats.
In the coming weeks, students will begin to dive into the creation of their transfer project. Empowered by students' voices, the Students have decided on a specific type of pollution to investigate and are eager to design a prototype to lessen that pollution. The students are enthusiastic about this unit, relishing the opportunity to work independently on a cause they are passionate about and embracing the use of technology to discover new and exciting facts.
Students shared what they are looking forward to most:
Arjun - I can't wait to go on our excursion
Arya - I've enjoyed creating our inquiry diorama for education week, it was fun to show our parents.
Siddhant - I got to share my Student Voice and now I'm looking forward to creating my project, I've chosen sea pollution.
