Welcome to Classroom Corner

Our Year 5 students have been reading the novel, New Boy and exploring other narrative texts and movies. At the end of the term they will deliver a speech to persuade an audience of their peers which character from the novel, New Boy should be the main character in a sequel.

Students have been learning how to write persuasively and use evidence from the text to support their point of view. Below are some examples of students from 5 Blue ‘bumping up’ their practice writing about the movie, Moana from a C level to an A level using checklists.
