Message from Our Principal

Tomorrow is P&C Day and I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the tremendous work our P&C do.  Our P&C is community-minded and their initiatives and support dramatically enhance our school and benefit our students.  Not only that, they are a wonderful group of positive, lovely people.

On behalf of Tallebudgera State School, I thank our P&C and wish them a very happy P&C Day.  Our P&C Executive team are exceptional and work incredibly hard behind the scenes, so special thanks goes to Lucy, Fiona, Corinne, James and Roxy!

Pyjama Day

Last Thursday was our annual Pyjama Day. This FUNraiser was a fun day where students and staff were able to wear their comfy pyjama's to school for enjoyment and wellbeing.

Braveheart's Ditto Show

Last week, students in Prep to Year 2 attended the 'Ditto's Keep Safe Adventure Show'.  This show provides students with personal safety tools and strategies while supporting positive self-esteem and resilience building. The Ditto show compliments the Health curriculum provided by our school.

P&C Trivia Night - Saturday 18 May

Thank you to our amazing P&C Team for hosting a sensational evening at the movie themed P&C Trivia Night and the volunteers who helped!  Parents and carers looked incredible in their costumes and the competition was friendly but fierce.  There were many laughs throughout the night and seeing our community together like that highlighted that our wonderful students are just like their wonderful families.

The trivia night was a fundraiser towards a new playground and we were overwhelmed by the support that we received from the people who attended and community members.  Enormous thanks goes to the following organisations and people for their generous support:

PRD Real Estate - John Fischer and Shelley Watkins - Gold Prosperity Partners

Cricks Tweed - Harding family - Silver Prosperity Partners

Nurse Next Door - Lauren MacDonald and Glen Parsons - Silver Prosperity Partners

Alleygators Rugby Club - Hosts:  Great food and awesome trivia

Fundraising towards a large project, such as a playground, takes time and this type of generous support is helping us get closer to our goal.

Chaplaincy Week 20 – 22 May

Our “Super Chappy” Steph provides support for students, staff and parents/carers in our school community.  This week, she hosted Chappy Week and held activities for our students such as a pop up disco, handball competition, garden craft and provided a staff afternoon tea.

A huge thank you to Chappy Steph during Chaplaincy Week! She is a true asset to our school through her warmth and positivity.

Thank you to ladies from the Tallebudgera Uniting Church, Elanora Uniting Church and Beachside Christian Church for donating the lovely afternoon tea for Team Tally!

Dental Van

The Gold Coast Health Dental Van is extending their time at our school due to recent service interruption for required van maintenance.  Information about how to make an appointment for your child has been shared on Class Dojo.
