From the Principal

Dear Parents and Friends,
This will be our last newsletter for term 1. The first newsletter of next term will be a level newsletter to inform families of the term 2 learning. With the early finish next Friday (2.30 pm) we remind families that there will be no assembly.
We hope you have a fantastic break with your children, and we look forward to a fantastic term 2, full of new knowledge and skills.
Prep Tours
This week, we held our first group tour for our 2026 prep enrolments. I find these tours are both a great celebration of the work we are doing and also a chance to reflect on the things we are striving to improve.
During term 2 we will be holding a number of tours for prospective families, and we encourage you to let anyone enrolling a student in school for 2026 to contact the office and book a time to look through our classrooms.

School Council plays an important role in the governance of the school, ensuring that decisions made are in the best interests of the community and that school funds are appropriately managed.
The objectives of a school council are set out in the school council’s constituting Order and section 2.3.4 of the Education and Training Reform Act and are to:
- assist in the efficient governance of the school
- ensure that its decisions affecting students of the school are made having regard, as a primary consideration, to the best interest of the students
- enhance the educational opportunities of students at the school
- ensure the school and the council complies with any requirements of the Education and Training Reform Act, the Education and Training Reform Regulations, a Ministerial Order or a direction, guideline or policy issued under the Education and Training Reform Act.
These school council objectives must be taken into account by school council members when exercising any of their powers, duties or functions.
I want to thank the parents and staff listed above for their dedication and commitment to our school.
Have a great weekend!
Adam Wight, Principal
