Fundraising Update

As you will have observed, the timeline for the Master Plan has been adjusted to suit our current context. With families asked to tighten their belts this year, we are scaling back our short-term ambitions. We are progressing essential renovations to the Carrick Wing – the work is due to commence at the end of the year – and we remain committed to the Master Plan.

It is essential we further develop our campus to offer our boys all the opportunities and supports they need to develop into good Marist men. The Master Plan promises to transform our campus, and we are ready to re-engage when prudent to do so.

In the short term, we still need your financial support and I invite you to read on to find out how you can help.

Parent Contribution

We are asking all families to support us via the annual $1,200.00 (per family) parent contribution. This funding is more vital than ever and we are grateful to the many families who continue to support us in this way throughout their Marist College Ashgrove journey.

The tax deductible Parent Contribution can be paid annually or quarterly and equates to just $25.00 per family per week.

For some Marist families that is genuinely a stretch, but we know that for most it won’t be missed.

We have noticed in some cases credit card expiry has led to a gap in payments and some families haven’t returned the paperwork required to fulfil their pledges. As we work to secure this important source of funding, Head of College Michael Newman has asked our new Foundation Officer, Jo Conolly, to reach out to families who have never made a contribution or whose contribution has stalled.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing Foundation Officer, Dominique Hall, for her outstanding service. Dom accomplished a huge amount in just two days per week. As well as the Parent Contribution, Dom was also a regular at our signature events selling merchandise and raffle tickets, and a collaborative and generous team player across the board. Huge thanks Dom.
