Despite the impact of Brisbane's first tropical cyclone to cross the coast in 50 years, the Blue and Gold Concert proceeded as planned last Thursday evening, playing to a sold-out audience at the Draney Theatre. The concert was an overwhelming success, with each group rising to the occasion and delivering exceptional musical performances. A standout moment was the final piece of the night, “Ancient Words,” featuring the College's Symphony Orchestra and Community Chorus, with over 200 musicians on stage. This concert truly embodied the spirit of Marist Music, bringing together current students, alumni, staff, parents, siblings and grandparents to create something truly special. We now look forward to the next concert in 2027.
