Augustine House: A Term of Triumph and Team Spirit

As we approach the end of Term 1, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what has been a remarkable few months for Augustine House. From the very first day back, our students have embraced the challenges and opportunities of a new year, demonstrating leadership, resilience, and an unwavering sense of house spirit.

A highlight of the term was the Swimming Carnival, where our students showed up in force, dressed in their best surfer-themed outfits, ready to cheer, compete, and celebrate. The energy on the day was electric, and it was fantastic to see so many students pushing themselves in the pool and supporting their teammates from the sidelines.

Hot on its heels was the Cross Country, where our students once again gave their all. Whether they were running to win, jogging with friends, or walking in support of their house, Augustine students showed grit and determination.

We’re also excited to welcome two brand new Pastoral Leaders, with Hannah Barnes and Buster McArthur stepping up to represent the Year 7 Augustine homeform. Both Hannah and Buster have already shown great enthusiasm and commitment to their new roles, and we know they’ll do a wonderful job supporting their peers and building community spirit.

Beyond the sporting arena, our house meetings have been full of energy, laughter, and connection. Our House Leaders have done an outstanding job leading their peers, helping to create a space where every student feels welcome and encouraged.

In the classroom, Augustine students have been setting the tone for a positive and productive year. Many have taken on new challenges with confidence, and it's been encouraging to see the effort, curiosity and care they bring to their learning.

A huge thank you to our Augustine staff, students, and families for making Term 1 such a fantastic start to the year. The spirit of Augustine continues to shine, and we look forward to building on this momentum in Term 2.

Wishing everyone a safe and restful break!
