Ride to School Day

Well done to all the students who participated in the National Ride To School Day last Friday. It was great to see students riding, scooting or walking to school. A big thank you to the parents/carers that supported their children with this event.

Sacred Heart Junior Athletics F-2

On Friday 4th April, the students from Foundation – Year 2 will participate in the Sacred Heart Junior Athletics Carnival. This will take place at Sacred Heart between recess and lunch time (11:45am – 1:15pm). The students will be involved in a number of sporting activities e.g. High Jump, Egg and Spoon Race, Sprints etc. Parents/Grandparents are welcome to watch their child/children/grandchildren participate. Our Year 6 students will be the leaders of the activities on the day.

Students are reminded to apply sunscreen before arriving at school and ‘Please’ bring along a drink bottle. We look forward to a fun day.

Term 2 Swimming Lessons

The term 2 swimming program is approaching quickly. This is for students in Years 1- 4.

It will take place at Heather’s Swim School in Main Street, Elliminyt. We do need parents/carers to help us with the swimming program. This involves walking the students to the pool and back, helping them pack up their swimming gear etc. All volunteers must have a current ‘Working With Children’s Check’ and the office must have a copy of this.

A roster for swimming helpers will be sent home.

Helpers will need to be at school 30 minutes before the swimming lesson takes place.

For example:

Year (2FM) lesson is at 11:30am, so all helpers will need to be at the school at 11:00am to walk with the class.

Please note:

Years 1 to 3 - Helpers meet at the front gate of the school

Year 4 -  Helpers meet at the bus gate (on Pound Road)
