SPORTS INFORMATION
SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY
Congratulations to all students who participated in our School Cross Country on Wednesday, 26th March 2025, at Jubilee Oval. Everyone completed their respective course and showed great sportsmanship along the way. The following students were our Individual Champions:
Minor Boy: Harry; Minor Girl: Eliza
Junior Boy: Sam; Junior Girl: Ivy
Senior Boy: Jacob; Senior Girl: Ellie
The following students have qualified to represent Sacred Heart School at the Armidale Catholic Schools' Diocesan Cross Country event in Barraba on Wednesday, 9th April 2025: Sam, Aiden, Ivy, Georgie, Ellie and Kiarah. Our students will be supervised on the day by the ACS Small Schools Supervisor, Ms Nicole Anderson. The students are to report to Ms Anderson to have their name checked in on arrival and checked out when leaving with their parent/carer. A reminder that if you are transporting someone else's child to the event, you will need to complete a 'Transporting Students in a Private Vehicle' form available from the Admin Office before the day.
We wish our runners all the best for the day and know they will proudly represent the school and demonstrate true sportsmanship!
NSWCPS SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to our four students who travelled to Sydney last week to compete in the NSWCPS Swimming Championships, representing the Armidale Catholic Schools. Georgie swam in the 8yrs 50m Freestyle event, coming 15th overall and achieving a personal best time. Our relay team, consisting of Georgie, Brayden, Ellie, and Kiarah, competed in the PP6 Small Schools 4x4 Freestyle Relay, also swimming a personal best time to bring home the silver medal.
The team will now continue their training and travel back to Sydney this week to compete against teams from across NSW at the PSSA Swimming Championships on Friday, April 11th.
