'LITTLE STARS' TRANSITION PROGRAM

Our 'Little Stars' Transition to Kindergarten program continued during the past fortnight. The children are certainly having a great time building new friendships, developing their fine motor skills and learning to play unturned percussion instruments to the beat of the music. 

A gentle reminder that there will be NO TRANSITION on Friday, 11th April (the last day of Term 1) due to a Staff Development Day, which will be a Pupil Free Day for students.

ANZAC DAY MARCH

The President and Boggabri RSL Sub Branch Members have invited Teachers and Students to march on Anzac Day, 25th April 2025. Students who wish to march with the school will meet Mrs Ryan and assemble at the Boggabri RSL Memorial Club at 8.15am to commence the march to the Cenotaph at 8.30am. 

Our school captain, Kiarah will recite the Prayer for the King, and our Year 6 leaders (Kiarah and Jacob) will lay a Wreath with Mrs Ryan in honour of our school.

Students will need to wear their full winter uniforms for the march. When they arrive, Mrs Ryan will pin some Rosemary onto each child's collar. We hope to see as many students as possible attending the march and commemorative service representing our school.

BOGGABRI DROVERS CAMPFIRE

Due to popular demand, our students have been asked to once again lead our campers in the Australian National Anthem at this year's Boggabri Drovers Campfire. The anthem is sung at the Opening Ceremony, which begins at 5pm on Friday, 25th April. We understand that this is during the school holidays, but would appreciate your attendance if you are in the area.

Additionally, this year, the event will include an Arts and Crafts show. We have been asked to display our artwork from the Gunnedah Show. 

A children's coloring competition has also been distributed to your children for completion at home. Drovers merchandise packs will be given as prizes. If your child has completed the Colouring Competition, please return it to school so it can be collected from our front office, or drop it off directly at the Jacob & Anderson office.
