Attended by the 3/4 classes and the 5/6 class.

STUDENT REFLECTIONS

On the fifth of May, 2025, Police Officer Health Williams came to the 5/6  classroom to teach us about Cyber-Safety. He told us about how you should never use your real name as your username and how to be safe online. He gave us an example about a kidnapper trying to kidnap two girls at a sleepover, because the girls shared their photos on Snapchat and accidentally exposed their location. He also told us how Tiktok or Youtube can contain some inappropriate stuff, so we should not use them before the age of 14. He taught us how you should never trust anyone online and never tell anyone your important information. The Police Officer was very friendly and I was very inspired and impressed. Now I am more aware of my safety online!  By Allen Lin

My name is Charlotte Archibald. I am in year 6 and on Monday the 5th of May police officer Heath Williams came over to our school to talk about the importance of cyber safety and how to protect ourselves online.

The first thing he covered was about getting bullied online. He told us about people getting bullied online and how easy it is for the police to find out, confiscate the bullies' electronic devices for years and depending on how serious it is they could go to jail.

The next thing he covered was giving out personal information. He told us if for example, an online gaming platform somebody asked for any personal information - to block and report them immediately. Also about even putting up a single photo of yourself that everyone can see and how it reveals a lot about you, maybe to the wrong people.

Overall I think that this talk was very informative and I learned a lot.

Mr Heath Williams, who is a police officer, came to our school to teach us about cyber safety. In the 5/6 classroom on Monday, May 5th.

Mr Heath came to teach us about cyber safety. We learnt about stuff online. On social media sending photos can show your house. There's an app called ‘SnapChat’ which can show your house on a map. I didn’t feel safe when I heard this. I deleted social media and I won't ever use social media until I am 13 years old.   By Rastin

On Monday May 5th. The Yr 5/6 class had an amazing incursion with a fabulous Police Officer named Heath Williams. Heath was part of the Vic Police, he was there to explain what is cyber safety. Cyber safety is learning how to stay safe online. He asked lots of us if we had these specific apps like tiktok, snapchat, facebook and lots more. Heath showed us many things on how to stay safe online like sharing personal information like your address, name, what school you go to and much more. Lots of kids have many apps that could hurt or are inappropriate to them. He told us never to trust anyone online that is a stranger.    By Naomi
