Dear Parents,
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of our mothers. Bless them with strength, health, and peace. May they be surrounded by love and joy.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we pause to honour the incredible women who nurture, guide, and inspire our children every day. Whether as mothers, grandmothers, carers, or mother figures, your love and dedication are the foundation upon which our students grow. At school, we see the impact of your support in every child’s curiosity, confidence, and kindness. On behalf of our entire school community, I extend our deepest gratitude for all that you do - quietly, selflessly, and with unwavering love. May this Mother’s Day be filled with the appreciation and joy you so richly deserve.
I had the privilege to accompany the Year 4 boys to Salesian last Wednesday and Maria Vecchio and Year 4 girls visited Avila. I encourage you to read the comments and view the photos of their visit. These visits help demystify secondary schools for students of this age and it is also a great way for parents to learn some insights from their child’s visit and experience as they contemplate secondary school options for their children. Personally, it was wonderful to spend the day with the Year 4 boys and experience the fantastic facilities, meet a number of staff and hear from some very impressive young Salesian men.
On Monday 5th May, Years 3/4 and 5/6 students participated in a cybersafety education program called 'Think U Know' run by Senior Constable Heath Williams.
ThinkUKnow is a cybersafety education program delivered in partnership by the Australian Federal Police, Microsoft Australia, Datacom and the Commonwealth Bank, and in collaboration with state and territory police agencies.
The in-school presentation aims to build positive engagement between children, young people and police, while equipping students with the knowledge and skills to be able to take actionable steps to maintain their safety at all times.
Please take a moment to view photos and comments from students.
