Bunnings Scarecrow Competition

Year 1 Scarecrow for Bunnings Oakleigh Competition

Our Year 1 students read the story 'The Lonely Scarecrow' and have been busy having lots of fun creating scarecrows. Working together as a team, they planned, designed, and built their scarecrow using old clothes, hay, and recycled materials.

The students showed great creativity and teamwork, turning their ideas into a colourful and cheerful character full of personality. The project was not only fun but also a wonderful opportunity to practise problem-solving and collaboration.

This coincided with the Bunnings Oakleigh Scarecrow Competition. Unfortunately, we could only enter 1 scarecrow, so for the first 2 weeks of spring (1st - 14th of September) 1D's scarecrow will be on display at Bunnings Oakleigh for customers to enjoy and vote for.

We are very proud of the students efforts and look forward to seeing how 1D's scarecrow goes in the competition. Well done, Year 1!
