Just a reminder that as of Monday 1st September, all students are expected to wear a hat during both outside breaks, and during outdoor learning, including Physical Education. The school has two hats avaialbe for purchase through the Academy Uniforms website. Both hats are $16 and come in a variety of sizes. As per the Department Sun Protection policy, all Primary School age children must wear a hat outdoors during school times. Students not wearing a hat will be redirected to shaded areas to play. Students have access to sunscreen in classrooms and will be encouraged to apply sunscreen on days where the UV index is level 3 or higher.
This year, we are considering using Jump! Swim School in Whittlesea for our F-2 Swimming Program in November/December. Please complete the following form indicating your interest in your child's participation in this program. This information will help us determine the number of days and sessions required. Information regarding the program will be published closer to the end of Term 3.
Click the button below to complete the Google Form.
Next Thursday, 4th September, is our Father's/Special Persons Day stall. Students will have an opportunity to visit their stall with their class throughout the day to choose a gift. We have a range of gifts for Dad as well as a selection of gifts for a special person, should your child wish to select one of these instead. This event is now on Compass. If you would like to purchase more than one gift, don't hesitate to get in touch with the office before completing the event on Compass. If your child is absent on Thursday, there will be an opportunity to choose a gift on Friday.
Don't forget next Friday, 5th September, is our Dads/Special persons
Cheese Toastie Breakfast.
Just a reminder, our Brick Paver Fundraiser is still open. For $50, your family can become part of our school's history. If you, a family member or a local business would like to order a paver, you can do so using the QR code below or by following this LINK. We hope you will support our school to fill the external gym wall with pavers; it is going to look amazing.
The Premier's Reading Challenge is almost finished. Remember to keep recording your challenge and choice books online at https://vprc.eduweb.vic.gov.au/home . If you are unsure of your child's login details, contact your child's classroom teacher via Compass. The challenge ends next Friday 5th September, so you still have 7 days to complete the challenge!
