Kindergarten: In Kindergarten, students are beginning to explore the concept of point of view through storytelling and discussions. They are encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings about characters and events, building their understanding of different perspectives.

Activities include sharing personal experiences and relating them to stories, which helps them develop empathy and comprehension skills.

Year 2: In Year 2, the focus shifts to persuasion, where students learn to articulate their opinions and support them with reasons. They engage in activities that involve creating persuasive texts, encouraging them to consider their audience and the effectiveness of their arguments. This not only enhances their writing skills but also develops critical thinking as they learn to assess and construct persuasive language.

Kindergarten: In Kindergarten, students are exploring the world of patterns, an essential component of mathematics that helps develop their ability to predict and understand sequences. They are engaging with simple repeating patterns, using objects, shapes, and colours to identify and create sequences.

This foundational skill is important for their cognitive development and sets the stage for more complex mathematical concepts.

Year 2 : In Year 2, the focus on patterns becomes more advanced as students work with increasing and decreasing sequences. They are learning to identify, create, and extend patterns using numbers and objects, which enhances their ability to think logically and solve problems.

This progression in understanding patterns supports other areas of mathematics, such as number operations.
