Term 3- 5/6N!

Zoo excursion 

Last Friday our 5/6 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to the Melbourne Zoo! They had the opportunity to learn about a variety of animals and discover how each species adapts to its unique habitat. The students were engaged and curious as they explored the different exhibits, and everyone had a fantastic time connecting their learning with real-life experiences. It was a day full of fun, discovery, and new knowledge!

KABOOM- SJV Feast Day!

Last week we celebrated St John Vianney’s Feast Day at school. We had a special mass held by 1/2SM followed by KABOOM activities on Monday. The students were in mixed aged groups and engaged in lots of activities on our School Oval. 

Saint and Hero Presentations!

Over the last few weeks, the 5/6 students have been learning a lot about different saints and heroes. As part of their homework, the Grade 5 students had to research a famous hero, and the Grade 6 students had to research a saint as part of their Confirmation preparation. The students then made a presentation, which they are starting to present this week!

Swimming

Over the next two weeks, students in year 3-6 will begin swimming lessons. Students will have the opportunity to develop new swimming skills and build confidence in the water. The program aims to enhance their safety, endurance, and enjoyment of swimming. We look forward to seeing their progress over the next few weeks!
