1/2DS

This term has started off with lots of learning in Religious Education. We spent the beginning of term preparing our class Mass. Our theme was St Mary MacKillop, so we learnt a bit about Australis's first saint and then thought about the ways we can follow her example in everyday life, at home, at school and in the community. You can see our thoughts (and parts of our Mass) in the photos below.

As part of our celebration of the Feast of Saint John Vianney, we created this 'pop art' display.

We have been playing some Maths games that help us practise our addition and subtraction skills. Our aim is to become more automatic in our recall of maths addition facts .... which will help us when solving harder problems (and maybe help win the game!) It was fun playing with different partners.

We have also been working on improving our sentences by using more descriptive vocabulary. Our main focus at the moment is adjectives - words that describe what something is like. Here are some of our improved sentences.

We will continue to work hard and have fun in the coming weeks with Book Week and the School Concert to look forward to!
