Whole School Curriculum Planning

At Golden Square Primary School, planning exciting and effective lessons is truly a team effort! During Term 3, our dedicated staff have been diving deep into important elements like Knowledge, Understanding, and Skill statements, Learning Objectives, Success Criteria, and how to sequence lessons to support student learning.

These insights have helped our teachers plan and implement the curriculum with even greater clarity and purpose.

On Monday the 8th September we will have our whole school curriculum day, staff will focus on applying this learning by exploring how to bring all these pieces together to plan units of work in Mathematics. Through collaboration, our teachers will create well-structured and thoughtfully sequenced Maths units that will engage and challenge our students.

We’re excited to see how these new plans will support our students in achieving their learning goals this term!
