K-2 Assembly Roster Update

Due to a teacher collaborative planning week in Week 8 (starting 8 September), we will be rescheduling the K-2 assembly for that week. This will mean that Koala will host assembly in Week 10 (26 September) and Oak will host at the beginning of Term 4.

Year 6 Canberra Camp

Our Year 6 students are excited to embark on a two-night, three-day educational excursion to Canberra next week. This memorable trip offers a fantastic opportunity for students to explore Australia’s history, culture, heritage, and democracy through visits to iconic sites such as Parliament House, Questacon, the War Memorial, National Gallery, and more.

Departure is at 5:15 a.m. on Monday, 1 September from the Billabong. Please ensure students arrive on time to assemble. We expect to return at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 3 September. Parents please ensure you sign your child our from the park.

Transition to School Webinar

Check-in assessment from Weeks 7 to 9

The remainder of the annual Check-in Assessments will be taking place from Weeks 6 to 9 this term. Students in Years 4 & 5 will complete the assessments in reading and numeracy, while Year 6 students will complete reading, numeracy, and writing assessments.

Weeks 3-9- Catch up tests

If your child misses out on doing a test, they will have the opportunity to catch up on the test on a different day.

These assessments help us understand each student’s progress and identify next steps in teaching and learning.
