The Power of Sport in our School
At Emmaus, we believe that sport and physical activity are more than just games. They are an essential part of learning and growing together. Participation in sport helps students develop teamwork, resilience, leadership, and respect, while promoting lifelong health and wellbeing habits.
This term, our students have been actively involved in various sporting opportunities, from PE lessons to lunchtime training and interschool competitions. It has been fantastic to see so many students giving their best, encouraging their peers, and showing great sportsmanship.
We celebrate the achievements of all our students, whether they represent the school in a competition, improve their personal fitness in PE, or simply try something new. Every effort counts, and every success is worth recognising.
As a school, we are committed to providing a wide range of sporting opportunities so that every child can discover a sport they enjoy. We encourage all families to support their children in being active at home too, whether that’s kicking a ball in the backyard, riding bikes together, or going for a walk after dinner.
Together, let’s keep promoting the value of sport, celebrating our students’ efforts, and building a culture where everyone can enjoy the benefits of being active.

Book Week 2025
Students, teachers and families had a fantastic, exciting start to Week 5 of Term 3 with Monday morning's annual Book Week Dress-Up parade.
The theme for this year is 'Book an Adventure', and it marks 80 years of celebrating Book Week nationwide.
It was great to see how creative our students and teachers are in dressing as their favourite characters. Many students also brought their favourite books and novels to share with their classmates.
Enjoy the photos of your lovely children.
Yesterday, our Brooklyn Park Campus students met Author/Illustrator Mandy Foot, the, to learn more about the process of writing and producing a storybook.
Mrs Potter, our Brooklyn Park Campus school librarian, has given students "Reading Passports" that they will be able to complete over the rest of the year. Students will receive a stamp for each criteria they meet and a chocolate for finishing the passport. Please encourage your children to record the books they read in their Reading Passports.
Additionally, students enjoyed many library activities at lunchtime, including a scavenger hunt.
Hoodwinked the Musical - USB Recording is still available to purchase!
Our Brooklyn Park Junior School Campus presented an incredible performance of the modern Robin Hood musical "Hoodwinked" last week of Term 2. Families and students enjoyed watching and performing on stage. We are very proud of everyone who participated in an awesome performance. A big thank you to everyone in the music department who put in huge efforts to motivate those talents to be confident and shine on stage. Well done, everyone!
