The Return of Feathered Friends!
Dear Parents & Students,
We are thrilled to announce the return of chickens to our school! After a brief hiatus, these delightful birds will once again be part of our learning environment.
Caring for chickens not only provides a hands-on experience for our students but also teaches valuable lessons about responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of acknowledging living creatures.
Our chickens are housed in a safe run and coop, next to the veggie garden area. We encourage everyone to participate in our chicken care program, which will include feeding, cleaning and collecting eggs. This initiative will help foster a sense of community and promote eco-friendly practices among our students.
3A had the honour of chicken duty this week and the chosen chicken monitors, Layla & Winnie, have been so attentive to our chickens’ needs – so, great job!
We look forward to an egg-citing time ahead and the soon-to-be-announced naming of our four little nuggets!
Did you know?... Chickens love to nibble on small pieces of fresh borage & parsley, which just happen to be close by in our veggie garden!

Lunch Clubs Are Back for Term 3!
We’re excited to welcome a brand-new club to our line-up! Starting next week, Construction Club will be running each Wednesday during first break with Leah.
