Miss Deane - Junior Classroom Teacher

This fortnight in the Junior Room we were excited to welcome back Mr Stow after his four-week placement. The students (and staff!) are very happy to have him back. With his return, our InitiaLit groups are up and running again. Mr Stow’s group has been focusing on the letter g and practising the use of capital letters, while Miss Dean’s group has been exploring a new “oo” spelling pattern, ew, and identifying words that use this sound.

In Maths, we have been busy working on addition and measurement (length). For addition, students learned how to partition numbers into two and three groups. Our P–2 learners also investigated the difference between long and tall and explored how to make “true” measurements using informal units.
