End of Term 3
Wow! Hasn't this term flown. It's so wonderful looking at how much your children have grown and how much they have learnt over the past 9 months. We've been very busy during these last couple of weeks and everyone is very deserving of a break. I hope you all have a lovely holiday and I look forward to seeing you all in Term 4!
Inquiry
To finish off our Inquiry unit, the children have been having a great time making boats out of aluminum foil and testing them to see if their boat was strong enough to hold some plastic animals. Here we are during the construction phase.
We then tested the boats in a tub of water. I'm very pleased to say that all boats floated and kept their animals safe.
Finally, this week we were busy building bridges. The brief was to build a bridge strong enough to hold up a clay model goat..... but we didn't have much success with our goat building skills. Instead, we created animals from playdough and built a bridge for them.
