It doesn't feel long ago that I was sharing the Term 2 highlights at the end of term newsletter, and here we are again already at the end of a jam packed 9 weeks.
During the past 9 weeks, we have:
- had our first group of boys take part in the Boys to the Bush program, and our girls participate in the Empowered girls Can program.
- volunteered at GTS as part of our Community Programs initiative.
- competed in Girls football in Moama.
- sent 8 students to the 10 day Somers Camp.
- celebrated Science Week with excursions to Twisted Science, Tongala Nutrition, Kyabram P-12 college and a whole school Science Circus Show.
- competed at the Waranga Athletics in Kyabram, held our own House athletics at school and sent a team of 17 students to the Division Athletics in Bendigo, with outstanding results.
- competed in Girls Interschool Soccer at the regional level in Swan Hill.
- celebrated Book Week with our traditional Parade and visit from Linda from the Tongala Library.
- taken part in 4 weeks of Hockey clinics.
- celebrated Fathers Day with a fun afternoon of games and a sausage sizzle for all.
- taken our Grade 2 students to Pioneer Settlement in Swan Hill for an overnight camp.
- attended St Augustines performance of Shrek jnr at the Kyabram Plaza.
- had a performance for the whole school based around the Book of the Year - General Waste.
- learnt about Responsible Pet Ownership with our junior students.
- celebrated the end of term and footy finals with our Footy Colours parade and a special Hot Dog lunch from our Parents and Friends.
It really is incredible what we can pack into a 9 week term. Next term already looks busy with camps, sports events, the fete and end of year celebrations already scheduled. It really is going to be a fabulous Term 4!
DON'T FORGET YOUR SCHOOL HATS!!!!
School Fete
Our bi-annual school fete will be happening on Friday, November7th.
The Fete committee are doing a fantastic job in organising this great community event. All classrooms will be running a stall and will be developing a roster for this. It is important that we have support from all families to ensure this event runs smoothly.
Our School Fete is our major fundraiser for the year, so any help to make this a fantastic evening will be greatly appreciated.
Have a great weekend break everyone. Look forward to seeing you all on Monday, 6th October.
