Principal Update

Message from the Principal
Yesterday I had the great pleasure of supporting our Year 12 student leaders at their luncheon at Parliament House with the Honourable Di Farmer. This event is always a highlight, giving our leaders the opportunity to share personal reflections on their leadership journey, celebrate the moments they are most proud of, and discuss the legacy they will leave for future Balmoral students. It was inspiring to hear their lived experiences and to see their commitment to strengthening student leadership into the future.
This term has been filled with exceptional opportunities and achievements. A particular highlight was the departure of our first-ever STEM overseas trip to Singapore. This is an exciting milestone for Balmoral and an extraordinary opportunity for our students. I would like to personally thank our P&C Association for their support and fundraising efforts, raising over $3,000 to contribute to the trip — including funding for a memorable group experience at Universal Studios. This achievement is a direct result of the dedication and generosity shown at the famous Bunnings sausage sizzle earlier this year.
In facilities news, I am pleased to announce that the tender process has been finalised for two key projects. Work will commence over the school break on a revitalised bike and scooter storage space, featuring improved design and security. While construction takes place, storage will be temporarily relocated to the Arts Hall, with additional bike racks provided under the front bus shelter.
This is the first step in a series of planned upgrades that will enhance the everyday student experience at Balmoral.

Principal
