Ryan’s Rambling

Dear Families,

We are now a week away from the end of Term Three! Nearly three quarters of the year is over, which is just astounding.

Thank you to the many superstar parents who have taken the time to complete our Parent Opinion Survey. The survey closes on the 19th of September, and we would love to get a few extra people complete the survey, so that we can get a much better gauge of how our families feel about various aspects of our school operations.

You may have noticed a lot of changes and movement across our school this week. We have begun the installation of new carpet to the main building, which is well overdue!  Whilst this carpeting gets completed, we have had to make use of the main hallway and some of our classrooms to store our library books and other furniture. It does look a little cluttered at the moment, but we promise you it will be well worth it!  The carpeting will be completed over the school holidays, ready for Term 4.

Outside, many of our trees have been trimmed back to ensure safety and compliance, based on our recent arborist’s audit.  Our Playgrounds have also had a thorough inspection, and we are just waiting on some consistent warmer weather for a repaint of our outdoor play areas. It is reassuring to know that our school continues to be a safe place for our children and community to come together to work and play.

Our school was a sea of crazy hair today, with our JSC fundraiser in full swing. Our community raised money and goods for the Ballarat Animal Shelter, a local and very important charity. Our students drove this fundraiser, as animal welfare and care are very important to them.

Next week, is our final week of term. I am quietly reflecting on what a positive and fantastic term it has been for our beautiful school community. I welcome all parents and families to join us at our Values Assembly next week.

Have a fantastic weekend 😊

Ryan
