Book Week 2025

This year's Book Week at Modbury School P-6 was a resounding success, filled with creativity, community spirit, and a shared love for reading. The theme, "Book an Adventure," inspired students, teachers, and families to dive into the magical world of books, bringing characters to life through imaginative costumes and engaging activities.

The school grounds were transformed into a vibrant tapestry of colours and characters as students and staff donned their favourite book-inspired costumes. From classic literary figures to modern-day heroes, the creativity on display was fabulous. It was amazing to see the effort and enthusiasm that went into each costume, reflecting the diverse interests and imaginations of our students.

A special thank you goes out to all the families who supported their children in preparing for Book Week. Your involvement and encouragement were invaluable, and it was wonderful to see so many parents and families joining us for the parade. Your participation helped make the event a memorable experience for everyone involved.

The highlight of the week was undoubtedly the Book Week Parade. Students proudly strutted their stuff on the catwalk in the gym, showcasing their costumes to an audience of peers, teachers, and family members. The parade was a fabulous celebration of literature and creativity, with cheers and applause echoing throughout the gym.

Adding an element of friendly competition, Mrs Flavel organised a Book Week Quiz for our House Captains. Nantu, Wartu and Kuula participated in a series of challenging and fun questions about their favourite books and authors. The quiz not only tested their knowledge but also encouraged teamwork and camaraderie among students.

Book Week 2025 - Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success. We look forward to continuing our literary adventures together in the future!
