Tennis Snapshot

This term has been a busy but fun one in the Tennis Program, filled with a range of exciting opportunities and achievements. We were fortunate to welcome back some of our former students, who are now on scholarships at US colleges, to speak with our Year 7–10 players about their experiences and journeys through tennis. Our Year 10s also successfully completed their Tennis Australia coaching course and have already been putting their new skills into practice, coaching Ardross Primary’s Year 6 students with great enthusiasm.

Adding to the excitement, our Tennis Captains, Lily Edgar and Josiah Das, organised and ran a social doubles Tsonga Cup competition, which created a fantastic atmosphere of fun and friendly rivalry among the players. We also hosted our Spring UTR Tournament, which saw students competing after school over two weeks, showcasing impressive skills, determination, and sportsmanship.

Off the court, our annual Bunnings and Athletics Carnival sausage sizzle fundraisers were once again a huge success. Thanks to the incredible organisation of our P&C and the support of parents, families, and friends who volunteered and donated, we raised an outstanding $5,200 across both events.

To close out the term, our Nationals team is being finalised and will shortly begin training as they prepare for the competition at the end of November. With so many exciting moments already behind us, we are looking forward to finishing the year on a high.
