From the Head of Student Wellbeing's Desk

Welcome to Christway College's Wellbeing Centre! Our centre features two dedicated counselling rooms, a comfortable lounge-style meeting area, and a calming sensory space. Our wellbeing team includes Janine Buntrock and Sabine Kallisch, both highly qualified counsellors with extensive experience supporting students in school settings.

Referral Process: Connecting Parents, Teachers and Wellbeing

At Christway College, we are dedicated to fostering every student’s academic, social, and emotional wellbeing. If you have concerns about your child’s progress, behaviour, or overall wellbeing, we encourage open communication through our structured referral process.

Initial Discussion – Parents can connect with their child’s teacher via email or a scheduled meeting to discuss concerns and gather insights.

Teacher Intervention – The teacher may implement classroom strategies and monitor progress before determining if further support is needed.

Wellbeing Referral – If additional support is required, the teacher may refer the student to the wellbeing team for targeted guidance and intervention. Parents may also request a wellbeing consultation directly. A Counselling Consent Form will be provided for parental approval if needed.

Collaboration and Support – The wellbeing team works closely with non-teaching staff, teachers, parents, and students to provide strategies, counselling, or external referrals as necessary.

Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where every child feels supported and empowered to thrive. If you have any concerns, please reach out - we are here to help.
