Assistant Principals' Report

Dear HPS Community,

Welcome to our newsletter item for this week.

Respectful Relationships Celebration Day – Monday, December 16We’re thrilled to announce our first Respectful Relationships (RR) Celebration Day, themed “Respect: It’s Our Power!”. This special day will highlight the amazing work we’ve done in RR and give Year 6 students a chance to lead and inspire the school community.

Key Details:

  • Dress-Up: Students are encouraged to come dressed as someone they admire or look up to.
  • Activities: The day will Led by our wonderful Year 6 students.
  • Reflection in classrooms (Session 6):
    • Each student will share a highlight from the day.

This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our RR journey and the leadership of our Year 6 students.

Today our Year 6 students were busy preparing activities for the special day in their classrooms. They will lead the classes across the school to give back to their community and practice all the wonderful leadership skills they have developed over their time at HPS.

There have been some exciting projects going on around the school in recent weeks. In Year 2, they have completed a multi genre project in writing. Some amazing pictures are included below.

In Year 1 the students had a successful Book launch attended by so many families. As was the Year 4 Island Inquiry Open afternoon.

The parent and family engagement in recent weeks has been fantastic. The students and staff have really appreciated your support in coming to school to celebrate the learning in Term 4

Have a wonderful weekend and week ahead!
