EDUCATION

Introducing New Staff for 2025
I am classroom teacher working with VCE Year 11&12 Psychology, Year 12 Vocational Major, and Year 7 PE.
I am a graduate teacher. I completed my Bachelor of Education in Bendigo undergoing placements at a variety of schools in the area. I also have completed a Cert III in Education Support where I worked as a Literacy tutor in a Bendigo public secondary school.
I am looking forward to working with each one of my classes, learning about Surf Coast College and getting to know the Torquay Community as I am new to the area.
- Marlee Ingamells
I am teaching Health & Human Development and Physical Education.
Before joining SCSC I was the Leading Teacher of year 11 & 12 at Lakeview Senior College for 7 years
I am most looking forward to the Swimming and Athletics day. My old school didn’t run these, so I’m very excited to have them on the calendar this term.
- Jye Ledin
I have joined SCSC at a Wellbeing Leader – Junior school, year 7-9.
Before commencing here at SCSC I was working in schools as an inclusion worker and finishing off my Psychology degree at Deakin Uni. I’m excited to be part of and contribute to a school culture that prioritises wellbeing alongside academic achievement. I’m eager to assist in promoting wellbeing, supporting everyone within the SCSC community, and empowering young people to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
- Gabby Beaver
I will be working at SCSC as the Mental Health Practitioner (full-time).
I previously worked as a ‘Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinician’ in private practise and at Barwon Health CAMHS. I also worked as a clinician on the autism assessment team at CAMHS.
I’m excited to support students in managing their social, emotional, and mental health challenges, helping them reach their personal and academic potential. I’m also looking forward to collaborating with teachers on student wellbeing to help create a supportive environment where all students can succeed.
