Grade 4 News
Our Grade 4 excursion to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) was an unforgettable experience. We ventured to the G by train and the students were bursting with excitement! The students were thrilled to explore the iconic stadium during the guided tour, where they learned about its rich history and got a behind-the-scenes look at areas like the players' change rooms and media facilities.
Visiting the National Sports Museum added another layer of excitement as they discovered Australia's incredible sporting achievements and tried interactive exhibits. They got to see historic cricket bats, football jerseys and Cathy Freeman’s famous suit that she wore in her historic win at the Sydney Olympics.
The highlight of the day was meeting Olympian sailor Carrie Smith, who inspired the students with her stories of perseverance, teamwork, and what it takes to compete on the world stage. It was a day filled with learning, fun, and inspiration!
