Principal's Report
Dear Parents and families,
Welcome back to a brand-new school year at Macedon Primary School! I hope everyone had an enjoyable break. It was wonderful to see all the children’s excited faces as they returned, ready for the year ahead. I really enjoyed visiting classrooms and seeing students settle in so positively. I look forward to seeing all of the foundation students on Monday.
We have a big year ahead at MPS. In Term 1, we will finalise our school review, which will help shape our new School Strategic Plan. We are also excited to introduce French to our curriculum, bringing a new language and cultural learning opportunity to our students. Towards the end of the term, construction will begin on our Inclusive Playground—an exciting addition to our school that will create more play opportunities for all students.
As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining our facilities, we removed the playground at the back of the school as it was no longer compliant with current regulations.
Our Grade 3/4 students also have an adventure to look forward to, with their camp at Wyuna taking place at the end of this term.
We look forward to a fantastic year of learning at MPS.
Warm regards,
Andrew Bloomfield
