The OGA Prize for Dux 2024

Each year, the OGA sponsors the Girton Grammar School Dux awards presented at Speech Night. The OGA extends a hearty congratulations to Emma Hines (12 Frew) on being awarded the Chair’s Prize and the SCECGS Redlands Shield (A Gift of the Old Girtonians’ Association) for the Dux of the School.

The OGA would also like to congratulate the students who received the Old Girtonians' Association Prize for Dux of Years 7 to 11:

• Year 11 (shared equally): Evie Hauler (11 Aherne) and Thomas Jerry (11 Jones)
• Year 10: Vivek Vattakatuchery (10 Riley)
• Year 9: Eiliyah Daneen (9 Riley)
• Year 8: Vanessa Huang (8 Millward)
• Year 7: Layla Turton (7 Riley)

Finally, the OGA congratulates the Junior School students who achieved the award of Dux for their respective year levels:

• Dux of Junior School: Gracie Seipolt (6 Riley)
• Year 5: Síofra O’Malley (5 Jones)
• Year 4: Graham Ziffer (4 Jones)
• Year 3: Margaret Yau (3 Millward)

Welcome to our newest members!

Congratulations to Dr Andrew Itter and Mrs Collette Derrick, who were recently welcomed into the OGA after receiving an Honorary Associate Life Membership for having worked at the school for 20 years.

Board member Mr Jarrah O’Shea also received an Associate Life Membership to the OGA in recognition of his three years of service on the Board.

Class of 2023: One-Year Reunion 

Thank you to those who attended the Class of 2023 one-year reunion! It was so wonderful to reunite with you all on Friday 29 November at GPO and to hear about your lives post-Girton. We are already looking forward to seeing you all at the five-year reunion!
