Boorowa Christmas Concert the Boorowa Business Chamber are hosting this year’s Christmas Concert, to be held on the 13th December at the Boorowa Rec Ground.
Boorowa Central They have the end of year BBQ and Presentation night on the 12 December, the year graduation assembly on Monday the 16th and the last day for students is the 18th.
St Josephs have the year 6 farewell mass on Friday the 13th and their presentation night on the 17th.
St John’s Christmas Lunch the community is invited to Christmas Lunch at St John’s Church from 2pm on Christmas Day. Lunch includes a 2 course dinner. Contact Jenny on 0487 429 188 before the 20th to reserve your spot
Australia Day Awards
There has been some confusion around the forms to complete for the Australia Day awards. There is form for people to nominate for the Lions Citizen of the Year, which goes to lions and another form for community and sporting awards, which are decided on by the Australia Day Committee.
The award categories are
Lion/Apex Citizen of the Year- contact Lions President Gary Waddell or Secretary Marilyn Miller
Rotary Young Achiever of the Year. Pres Chris Carter, Secretary Jenny Carter

Landcare Awards - handled by Bwa Community Landcare
The Community Food Hub is open all the time and doesn’t close for holidays. It is on the corner of Brial and Park Streets here in Boorowa.
The Community Book Hub is located on Market street across the road from the pool and playground. Take a book, leave a book.
Table Tennis for Seniors is on every Tuesday morning at St. John’s Church hall.
Boorowa Men’s Den at Boorowa Showground is open Wednesday and Thursday from 9 till 12.
Tai Chi on Thursdays, at 2.00 p.m. and Saturday 10:30 at Ex Services Club,
Boorowa CWA mothers group meets every Wednesday at Holly’s Coffee shop on Pudman St from 11 am.
The Op Shop is open Thursday and Friday from 10 – 4 and Saturday 10 – 2. They are now also open on Sundays from 10 – 2 through Spring and Summer.
The Boorowa RSL Subbranch host a veterans and emergency services personnel catchup the last Monday of every month, from 10 am at the Ex – Services club, the next catch up is Monday the 23rd of December, all are welcome to attend.
Christmas Toy Draw is to be held on the 15th December from 5:30 at the Recreation Club.
