ELC and Junior School Welcome Picnic - 28 Feb
We'd love to see all our ELC and Junior School families for a picnic on The Green on Friday 28 February 2025 from 5.00 to 7.00pm.
The PFA will be hosting a complimentary sausage sizzle and the new play equipment will be available for students. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with friends and make some new ones! BYO drinks, picnic, rug/chairs and hats.
Please RSVP for the picnic here.
Financial support for school expenses
Belinda Collins, Finance and Administration Manager
The Victorian Government is providing financial assistance to help families cover school-related costs.
The School Saving Bonus will be allocated to eligible students once the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) process has been completed for 2025. If parents received the CSEF payment in 2024 they do not need to reapply unless there has been a change in circumstances.
If you need more information, please contact me at collinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au.
Keeping you connected with Kilvington
Camilla Fiorini, Director of Marketing and Development
'There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.' - Margaret J. Wheatley
Welcome to or back to the Kilvington community! It’s wonderful to see our students on campus as well as family members. Our hope is that Kilvington offers you an opportunity to forge connections and enhance a sense of belonging for you and your family.
There are lots of ways to stay connected to the School and the community more broadly.
We have a very active and vibrant Parents and Friends Association (PFA) as well as Class Social Representatives (CSRs) at each year level. There are WhatsApp groups for each year level and your CSR is your go-to person to get connected (see PFA website for more details).
CONTACTS
- Bianca Lapins is our Community Relations Officer. She can be contacted at lapinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au about any matters involving community events and other community-based activities.
- Nadine Power is the President of our PFA. She can be reached at pfa@kilvington.vic.edu.au if you're interested in volunteering or taking on a bigger role within our community.
WAYS TO STAY INFORMED AND CONNECTED
Here are just a few of the ways you can stay connected and find out what’s happening at Kilvington:
KCEE
This is your main go-to for information. For our new parents, KCEE is our Learning Management System where you can access and update information relating to your child including live academic results, calendar, events, activities and news. You can download the app from the App Store and remember to set how you would like to receive notifications from us.
You will find KCEE support information on the left-hand side of your parent dashboard. New parents will have received access details including log-in details prior to commencing the new year. If you haven’t, please contact our IT Department on 9578 6231.
Consent2GO
Consent2Go enables you to provide permission for your child to attend events and be photographed or filmed for Kilvington’s various platforms, as well as update personal details, including medical information. You will receive alerts together with a link from the School when you are required to provide any information.
PFA website
We have a dedicated PFA website where you can find information about your Class Social Representative (CSR), including the corresponding WhatsApp QR code. You can also find details of the PFA Executive, PFA meeting times (where all parents are welcome), community events, secondhand uniform shop openings, volunteer opportunities, and much more.
Social media
OurKilvington Facebook and Instagram pages are another way of staying in touch with events, activities and news. As mentioned, our Class Social Representatives (CSR) have also set up WhatsApp Groups for particular classes/year levels. Please reach out to your CSR for further information or go to the PFA website.
School publications
And, of course, will also receive the school newsletter, In the Know, every fortnight. Additionally, the KNews school magazine will be sent to you mid-year, and the Kilvington Yearbook will be provided at the end of the year.
We're always open to feedback on how we can better communicate with you. Feel free to contact me via fiorinic@kilvington.vic.edu.cau or Bianca via lapinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au with your questions, ideas or issues.
KCEE Events Calendar
Please refer to the KCEE Calendar to stay on top of everything that is going on at Kilvington. This is the 'bible' and where any changes will be reflected.
2025 public transport information for students
Kathy McLaren, Student Services Officer
Kilvington participates in the PTV approved school student ID program, making it easier for students and their parents to access concession fares. All Kilvington student ID cards will display the PTV logo. This means that students do not need to pay for and carry the dedicated PTV school student ID (available from stations/ticket agents for $9) to travel on student passes or concession fares.
It's the responsibility of students to ensure they carry their student ID card when travelling with a student pass to prevent receiving fines. All student ID cards expire no later than 28 February of the following year.
The 2025 Student Pass Application Forms can be downloaded here from the PTV website.
Please note that all students are required to touch on and off every time they use their myki on public transport. Cash transactions have also been permanently removed from myki-enabled buses in support of safer bus journeys and the rollout of all door boarding.
