Marrung Club

I am very pleased to advise that we have a new recess club called ‘Marrung Club’, where the students (who wish to attend), will read a Dreamtime Story together and be provided with an associated craft activity or colouring task. We had an enthusiastic group of students attend our first Marrung Club day last week, learning the Dreamtime Story of the Blue Wren bird and I welcome new faces each week.

Foundation

We've been learning all about capacity, what a great excuse to be out and about in our beautiful grounds! 

Foundation and Grade 5

We've been very busy together and it is so lovely to see such strong connections between our Grade 5 and Foundation students.

Grade 1 and 2

We are learning about character traits and have been reading The Gruffalo. 

We have been also been having so much fun learning about fractions. We made Friday Fraction Friends.

Grade 4

We have been looking at different ways to represent fractions of a group. 

Grade 6

The year 6s have been studying various types of poetry and the features of each. We have had a go at as many as we could! Then we have published them in a Poetry book. Some of these were ‘Blackout Poetry’ where we did the opposite of what we normally do when reading, and take the words we like, or that stand out and 'redact' the rest, creating some really funny, and really poignant poems.
