In the state of Victoria, families that need assistance with clothing etc. for school-aged children can receive it through State School Relief.
For logo items (e.g. polar fleece jackets ) a voucher will be issued and there is a small difference that families will need to pay. You may request two items.
Other items such as leggings, shorts, socks, school hats, bags and pants can also be supplied by them. Again, these items are plain and with no logo. Please note that it will be handled in a discreet and confidential manner. Come and speak to the office staff, or Shaun McClare or Lauren Hopkins.
Smile Squad is the DET program offering free or low-cost dental care and treatment to families and they are due to attend annual checkups and fluoride treatments in Weeks 3 and 4 next Term (16th October – 27th October).

As part of our school Physical Education Program, students in Foundation, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 will have the opportunity to attend a 5 day swimming program at Paul Sadler Swimland at Yarra Valley Grammar School. The swimming program will take place from Monday 11th December to Friday 15th December. Students will be required to bring to school each day:
Students will be picked up from Kalinda PS and taken to Yarra Valley Grammar School by seat-belted buses. Important Information About Parent Helpers: Parents are VERY welcome to come and assist us with the organisation of the students at swimming however you must have a current Working With Children’s Check on file at the office and can only attend after having this confirmed with the classroom teacher. |
