Visual Arts Term 4 Overviews

Prep & Year 1

Prep and Year 1 students will begin to explore the medium of clay. They will learn various techniques and processes for working with clay, develop fine motor skills through hand building and sculpting to create clay artworks. Through hands on activities and projects, students will engage in the creative process, explore different forms and functions of clay and develop an appreciation for the art form.

Year 3

Year 3 students will explore the versatile medium of clay. They will learn various techniques and processes for working with clay, develop their hand building and sculpting skills and create unique clay artworks. Through activities and projects, students will engage in the creative process, explore different forms and functions of clay and develop an appreciation for the art form as well as its history and use throughout time.

Year 5

Year 5 students will have the opportunity to explore the medium of clay. They will learn various techniques and processes, further developing their hand building and sculpting skills to create a range of artworks. Students will engage in the design process, planning, designing and making functional objects from clay such as jewellery and homewares.
