Congratulations

The Class of 2023!

Congratulations to the Year 12 students of 2023 who have just completed their HSC examinations. From Monday 9 October to Friday 3 November, we had over 180 students sit examinations and over 850 examinations were completed in total. This is a culmination of 13 years of schooling and a great achievement for the students to finally complete their studies at Cecil Hills High School.

I would like to wish the students all the best as they enter further study and part-time or full-time work. I know that they are well equipped to take on the challenges that life after school has in store for them.

A massive thank you and congratulations to their teachers also. We have amazing, dedicated staff here at Cecil Hills High School and I have witnessed the staff going above and beyond to ensure that the students were extremely well prepared for their final examinations.

CSIRO STEM Program

On Tuesday 7 November from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, CSIRO held a showcase at the Liverpool Powerhouse Arts Centre. Cecil Hills High School had five representatives from Year 10 attend to present their STEM projects along with students from fifteen other schools. I was extremely proud of the projects that our students presented and how they conducted themselves on the evening.

Our students presented innovative ways to help the environment in the local area which included, a horticulture solution, a more environmentally friendly back-burning method and a natural way to purify the air. All students did an amazing job, and the Cecil Hills High School display was very popular with the attendees on the evening.

Congratulations to Lucas Kim, Ameer Al-Shammery, Lyon Nguyen, Eric Su, and Joshua Culeski. A big thank you to Mr Yoo, Mr Sharma and Mr Miller from our TAS department who worked with these students and supported them on the evening.
