School Concert: Wednesday 1st November, 7pm.

Preparations for our School Concert; The Greatest Show, are well under way. 

This year our concert is a variety night with a mixture of different acts and performances.  We hope to showcase the skills of the students with some singing, dancing, drama, ukulele playing, bucket drumming and percussion. We know there will be proud moments, a few laughs and great entertainment for everyone!

Special Musical Visitors to Sacred Heart

On Tuesday we had Hanni and Jasmine Pham who are past students of Sacred Heart (and Hanny in Year One's cousins) kindly visit our school, along with their lovely mum Vy. 

Jasmine was the school captain in 2019 and was an integral part of the CD we made that year with her playing the guitar on a few tracks, singing in the choir and being a wonderful leader. 

Hanni was a wonderful member of the school community (and choir!) throughout her  years at Sacred Heart and she has just turned 19.  Excitingly, Hanni has created an international name for herself as part of K-Pop band New Jeans and has spent almost 4 years living in Korea as part of New Jeans. In that time she has learnt to speak Korean, had intensive dance and singing training and built upon her performing skills. 

To understand how HUGE  New Jeans are internationally...they now have 24 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a google search of either New Jeans or Hanni will provide an insight into how big the group are!

Students got to ask Hanni questions about being in a K Pop band, hear her memories of Sacred Heart and she even shared some wonderful advice as we prepare for our school concert. It is safe to say that the teachers and students are all so proud of Hanni and were very excited to see her; an international popstar...who proudly once went to their school.
