Sports Academy Update

The Sports Academy has been in busy mode this term running our usual program. Last Friday our soccer students made their way to Melbourne Victory which was a highlight for them.

We have completed our Year 9 2024 trials with results for our students coming out this week.

We welcome Heath Johnson to our team as one of our basketball coaches. He has been doing some great work with the Warragul boys squad team, has been working with the State Development Program Juniors and has just been appointed to the Gippsland United Under 16 Girls team.

Recently a couple of our senior students and myself completed a fundraiser for Mindfull Aus. It was a great physical and mental challenge, playing 4 rounds of golf in 163 minutes, but more importantly continuing to raise awareness around mental health. We look forward to welcoming Mindfull Aus back to the College next year to present to our students.

We have been blessed with some really amazing opportunities - Moe Under 14 Girls played in the Australian Basketball Club Championship, Max Plummer represented Australia in the Rugby League Harmony Cup, Cooper Belsham represented an Australian Team in the NBA Global Academy Series in Abu Dhabi and finally, Ricky Mentha got to play on the MCG on Grand Final Day as part of the Under 17's Futures Game.
