What's making news this fortnight

Welcome back to Term 4! 🎒

A big welcome back to everyone - we can't quite believe it is Term 4!

I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable school holidays - but as always it is lovely to be back at school and in routine.

We have a big term ahead with lots of learning to do, but also some fun events to come.

This is also our Year 12 students' final term of school before they graduate - a huge milestone for both students and their families!

Let's finish off 2023 strong!

Exciting Project Update!

Building works have started!🔨

Car Park 🚗

Our car park can be a very busy place! A reminder to please adhere to the 5kmp/h speed limit at all times.

Staff supervise the car park during the following pick-up & drop off times:

Morning drop off: 9:15 - 9:30am

Afternoon pick up: 2:30 - 3:00pm

It is very important that you do not drop off or pick up students while our contract buses are in the carpark as we need to safely get our students on and off these buses.

Also please only turn LEFT out of our carpark to help avoid congestion within the carpark.

The Middle East Conflict

Dear parents and carers,

Many in our school community are affected by the devastating events in the Middle East.

All of us are upset and disturbed by the awful events depicted in media footage and images.

This time is particularly distressing for staff, students, families and carers who have family and friends in Israel and Gaza.

We are also aware that students of diverse backgrounds, including Jewish and Muslim students, may be significantly affected by public events, mainstream media coverage and social media at this time.

Please be assured that all staff are aware of the extreme emotional toll on many in our community at this time. But please also feel free to get in contact with any of the staff at our school if you would like to ensure we are aware of what your child is going through at this time.

It is possible that extremely distressing scenes from the conflict may be posted online in coming days. Please ensure your children are aware of where they can find support in the event they come across such images. At our school, this includes class teachers and our wellbeing team.
