MURRAY RIVER CULINARY CHALLENGE

The Grand Final of the Murray River Culinary Challenge was held in Shepparton this week. The St Mary MacKillop College team was made up of Francesco Tuntar and Shakira Siggins who competed against two other schools from along the Murray River. All teams prepared and presented a three course meal within a set time. The competition was judged by experienced chefs who commended the students on their strong cooking skills and efficient workflow, as well as their presentation of high-quality meals. Although Francesco and Shakira produced some amazing dishes, the winners on the day were Echuca Secondary College. Congratulations to Francesco and Shakira on the dedication and determination they showed throughout the competition and the proud manner in which they represented St Mary MacKillop College.
