OPS Shenanigans

Our neighbors at Orange Public School dropped into Anson Street to pay a visit to some of our innovative facilities.  We were joined by Ms Gillett's class who enjoyed learning new skills in the Skills House, playing shop in Mini Woolies, spending some time in the vineyard and tackling the climbing wall in the Zone.

A huge thank you to our Crew Leaders, Indi and Ivy from Stage 5, who helped train up some of the OPS kids behind the Mini Woolies registers.

Wangarang Work Experience

Stage 6 work experience last Thursday, Life Skills students went to Wangarang Industries and completed a range of tasks such as using the industrial shredder, tying knots and sorting components.

Daniel, Jory, Jackson and Dayle showed great listening skills and teamwork. They followed all instructions from Wangarang's client supervisor, Janet.

Orange Thunder All Abilities Touch Program

Every Wednesday afternoon, 15 Anson Street students have been participating in an all abilities touch football program where they engage in skill development and play a game against each other at the end. It's great to see our students interact with students from other schools. The program is free of charge and will run every Wednesday at Waratah’s for the next 5 weeks 4.30pm-5.15pm. Please contact me at school if your child is interested in participating. Mr Low and I can transport students if required.
