Term 4 Music Ensemble Rehearsals
In preparation for Speech Night and Primary Presentation Day, there are a few changes to the Music Ensemble Rehearsal Schedule. Please see the updated Schedule below.
String Exams
Many students are busy preparing for their String Examination, to be held on Friday 20 November during the day at Clayfield College. The schedule will be released and forwarded to parents in the coming days.
Opera Queensland - Professional Partnership
We are thrilled with our professional partnership with Opera Queensland, which includes viewing performances, workshops and feedback from industry professionals.
Kylie Los from Opera Queensland worked with Campo della Voci this week on their repertoire for upcoming performances this Term. They worked on vocal techniques, diction and expressive devices.
On Tuesday afternoon, our musical cast participated in a masterclass with Opera Queensland’s, Jessica Low. The students worked with Jessica Low and were delighted with the valuable advice given for their performance.
2024 Musical
This week, our leads will receive tuition from musical director, Nick House. Nick is a former teacher at Clayfield College and is currently living and working in the UK with artists. He has previously been employed by exam boards as an examiner and moderator, examining for GCSE and A-Level (years 11 and 13) composition coursework for Edexcel, a major examining body in the UK.
Musical rehearsals continue throughout Term 4:
- Tuesday afternoons 3:15pm to 5:00pm | all cast - Drama Room
- Friday afternoons 3:15pm to 4:30pm | select scenes - Assembly Hall
LUX 23 Exhibition - Friday 10 November
We are looking forward to a brilliant Visual Art exhibition from our Clayfield College students, along with a variety of music, drama and dance performances. We are busy rehearsing to showcase the talents of students in our Creative Arts curriculum subjects as well as a variety of co-curricular groups.
