School Sport Victoria (SSV) Events

SSV Greater Western Region Track & Field Championships

On Thursday 5th October BHS took a strong team of 40 students to the SSV Greater Western Region Championships at Llanberris Reserve, Ballarat. With some dicey weather all week, the weather gods played nice and allowed the competition to go ahead unimpeded.

At the end of the day, BHS had 9 students qualify for the SSV State Championships by winning their individual events along with two winning relay teams. These students will be competing at the SSV State Championships on Monday 16th October.

• Jace Murray – 16 Years Boys 110m Hurdles, 16 Years Boys Javelin, 16 Years Boys Discus
• Denver Minster – 12-13 Years Boys 400m, 12-13 Years Boys 800m, 12-13 Years Boys 1500m
• Wil Barbary – 18-20 Years Boys 200m
• Floyd Brooks – 15 Years Boys Discus
• Imogen Emmerson – 14 Years Girls Triple Jump
• 15 Years Girls 4 x 100m Relay (Imogen Emmerson, Zahlia Delima, Mackenzie Hocking)
• 18-20 Years Girls 4 x 100m Relay (Chloe Kinnersly, Allira May)
